Description

A great opportunity to hunt large rams in British Columbia. This is a 1:1, fully guided, 10 day hunt. Hunter will stay in a backpacking tent and hunt daily from spike camp, or may choose to set up a spike camp to find big mature animals. Hunter should expect to hike on average 5 miles a day in some steep and rocky terrain. This area is known for their big rams and previous outfitter of the territory was 100% success. New owners of the territory have guided in the area for several years and took a ram on day 2. Horses are often used where terrain is maneuverable.

If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Description

A great 10 day 1:1 hunt to chase big mature rams. This hunt can either be a backpack hunt utilizing spike camp or may be arranged with a wall tent depending on the distribution of sheep. Hunter should be prepared for 3-5 miles per day while glassing for rams and climbing ridges. Horses may also be used depending on the area holding the most animals. Hunter can expect to spend a lot of time glassing the hillsides for rams and then working to climb steep terrain to close the distance. Hunter will stay in a backpack tent and hunt daily from base camp, or may choose to set up a wall tent camp to find big mature animals. This area is known for their big rams and every year there are large rams taken. Previous owner of the territory had 100% in their take.

Hunter should be prepared for some heavy hiking when closing the distance for the stalk on big rams. Average miles per day is around 5 for this hunt. Elevations range from 4000-7000 feet. Horses will also be utilized.


Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

Final destination airport is Grand Prairie, Alberta. Hunter will be picked up and dropped off by Outfitter from airport, included in the hunt cost.

Description

Hunter should be prepared for moderate to heavy hiking for this hunt. This hunt takes place in the month of August and September in British Columbia and weather can vary. Moderate to heavy weather hunting clothing should be packed. Hunter will hike on average 5 miles a day. Layering system recommended. Comfortable and durable hiking boots are a must. Outfitter will supply horses if needed in the field.
