Description

Hunt Trophy Barren Ground Caribou from one of several remote camps along the Alaskan Peninsula. Hunts will use one of several options on this hunt, spike tent camp settings, remote cabin sites or from a main lodge via boat. This Outfitter does have boats to accommodate hunters that are less agile or require a little extra assistance, however, most often hunters are in a remote fly-in drop camp. Camps are as rugged, yet as comfortable as they come and food, trophy care and bush flights are included. This is a highly successful hunt for trophy caribou and success rates average over 95%.This herd is non-migratory and has a healthy population of approximately 3000 animals. It has just recently been opened to non-resident hunters due to the remoteness of the region and the animals overall growing population. It is an “Over the Counter” harvest tag area that has the potential of taking record book class Barren Ground Caribou. This hunt begins and ends in either Cold Bay or Sand Point, Alaska. Upon arrival, you will be flown to a remote, full-service lodge located another 45 miles away, or directly into a field spike camp. The lodge also serves as our Coastal Brown Bear hunting headquarters when the season is open. It is only accessible by small aircraft or vessel, and is the exclusive guide service that operates in the region with a private concession permit. A portion of this hunt may be conducted out of the main lodge via boat, or out of fly-in spike camps. Conditions and herd location at the time of the hunt will dictate guiding procedures. All amenities, including transportation for you and your trophy back to Cold Bay or Sand Point is included. Due to the extreme location and volatile weather conditions, we reserve the right to have all meat from your trophy donated to the local villages. This hunt has limited spots and will consist of 5-7 days hunting. The potential of harvesting a wolf on this hunt is high due to their abundance, and is offered at no additional charge. No harvest tag required. Salmon Fishing added to this hunt is a definite option at an additional cost. Your fully guided hunt is all inclusive with the exception Air travel, licenses, tags, personal clothing, rifle/bow and sleeping bag.
