Description
These cow elk hunts take place on over 500,000 acres of contiguous ranches in unit 12 which is in West Central New Mexico. These ranches have very high densities of elk and these cow hunts consistently produce 90-100% shot opportunity for hunters. This outfitter offers guaranteed “ranch only” landowner permits for hunters that want to book a cow elk hunt with us. These cow hunts are perfect for novice hunters that are looking to get more big game hunting experience. They are also great hunts for seasoned hunters that want to fill the freezer with free range wild game meat. The average cow elk will yield 200-300 pounds of processed meat which can feed a family for almost an entire year. Cow Elk hunts are an important part of their ranch management program. This outfitter uses these hunts to keep their herd healthy and keep their cow to bull ratios in balance. This outfit offers a 3 day fully guided 3:1 hunt with all meals and lodging included. These are comfortable lodge based hunts and non-hunting guests are allowed for a daily rate. Hunters and guest are responsible for arriving at our Pie Town, New Mexico lodge the day prior to the start date of their hunt.
