The moment you step foot on Lana’i, it’s clear that it’s different from any other Hawaiian Island. Nicknamed the Pineapple Island due to its past as the world’s largest pineapple plantation, Lana’i has an abundance of untouched beauty. In the uplands, you’ll find mist-shrouded mountains and forests of Cook Island pines. White-sand beaches and red lava cliffs dominate the coastline, while clear Pacific waters host a rich marine ecosystem. There are no stop lights, and many of the island’s landmarks are best explored with a four-wheel drive vehicle. An amazing opportunity to hunt free range mouflan sheep on Lanai Island in Hawaii! The island is 90,000 acres of prime sheep habitat and mouflan have provided a fun sheep hunting experience in paradise. This is a 1:1 fully guided 2 day hunt. Meals and lodging are hunter provided, but there are many options on the island and the outfitter can help make any arrangements. Option to add another day of hunting or to take a second ram. A non-hunter may accompany for no additional fee.

Hunt for unique species during your stay, including Axis deer and Mouflon sheep. The 90,000-acre island of Lana’i is home to the highest density of free-range Axis deer in the world. Hunters can expect to see hundreds of deer per day, and will spot and stalk either in a large, flat plain known locally as “the Serengeti,” or in the steep mountainous region that is heavily forested along the shores. Alternatively, for long range shooters, hunters can opt to set up at shooting benches strategically positioned throughout the island. Unlike international destinations, it is easy to transport your personal firearms to this exotic domestic destination. Lana’i is also home to a world-class sporting clays course as well as archery, pistol, and rifle ranges. The sporting clays course is extremely picturesque, and can be enjoyed by beginner and expert shooters alike. This is a great place to hunt completely free range mouflan. This is a 1:1 fully guided 2 day hunt with options to add additional days. A non-hunter may accompany for no additional charge. All meals and lodging will be client provided, but outfitter can help set up and make all arrangements. Outfitter will pick up hunter each day. Hunting mouflan takes on the same mental stamina as sheep hunting, with vertical terrain and challenging shots. Hunter should be prepared for long days of hiking in difficult terrain. Game density is high in this area. Mouflan are a non-native species so they can be hunted year round. Weather is mild, and so there is no best time, you can go at any point in the year and have the same opportunity on good rams! The outfitter will take your cape/horns and meat to a local butcher. He will process and send it with hunter if possible (packed and following weight limitations) or send it frozen UPS or FedEx. Horns and cape will be prepped and sent to hunter's taxidermist of choice.
