Description

This is a 2:1 Wyoming wilderness hunt. This is a 10 day of hunting for great mule deer. Hunters will stay in a wall tent in the oldest hunting camp site in the whole state of Wyoming! This hunt is conducted off of horseback. All meals are provided. This is a great opportunity for a true western high country mule deer hunt. This is a draw license and will require 6 points in the regular draw to get the tag. 3 points are near 100% in the special draw. This outfitter only takes 2-4 hunters per year to keep trophy quality high.

Classification details:

190" Buck shot every year. Mature 4 point bucks will be targeted.

Weapons description:

Rifle hunt only. Bipods don't fit in scabbard. Can get comfortable with trees and shooting sticks.
Hunter should expect to shoot 200-400 yards. Never more than 500 yards.
Rifle average 75% under 300 yards. No shots over 500 yards.
Sight in rifle the day before at camp.

          Refund Policy:

          Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

          Description

          This is a great opportunity for nice bucks in Wyoming. Hunter will hunt in September/October and ride to glass ridges for bachelor groups of bucks. This is a draw only unit and takes 5 points in the regular draw to get selected. Special draw will require 4.5-5 points. All meals and lodging are provided for this hunt. Options to add a black bear or wolf for a trophy fee if seen. Hunt can also be upgraded to a 1:1 hunt. Hunters will get up early each morning and have a hot breakfast. Horses will be saddled and hunter should be prepared to spend up to 10 hours a day in the saddle as big bulls are pursued.

          Warm and dry even when it's wet and cold outside. There are 2 people per tent. 12'-14' canvas wall tents are provided with electricity powered by a generator, wood stoves and mattresses on a set of springs. 6’ tables.

          Chef will be hired for this hunt. Hunters will get a warm breakfast-pancakes and eggs. Lunch will be provided as a bag lunch on the mountain or trips may be made back to camp for a hot lunch. Homestyle cooking-meat and potatoes for dinner meals.

          Horseback hunt. Some foot hunting. Ride out of camp everyday. Spend 8-10 hours a day on horseback. Average miles hiked a day: 5 at most.


          Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

          Final destination city is Jackson, Wyoming. Outfitter can pick up hunters from the airport or rent a car and follow the outfitter to camp. All field transportation is provided. Horses and SidexSides will be used.

          Description

          Early season hunting can be warm and require less layers. Later rifle hunts it is not uncommon for snow to be present and heavier layers should be packed. You will stay in a nice heated wall tent for this hunt. Sleeping bag must be brought, but mattress/cot will be provided. Hunter should pack clothing they can comfortably ride a horse in. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
