Description

A great opportunity to hunt big Utah bucks in two different premier units. This outfitter has a camp in both the Book Cliffs and Diamond Mountain. Depending on the season and method of take desired, the points required to draw vary. Non-residents should expect upwards of 20 plus points to draw (although licenses may be drawn with less depending on the amount of people applying). *See details below on point requirements. This is a 5 day fully guided 1:1 hunt. Outfitter will provide meals, lodging, and all field transportation. Option for an additional guide or a non-hunter for an additional charge. *Landowner vouchers may be available for purchase. Please enquire. The application period for big game draws and points in UT typically open sometime in mid-March and closes sometime in mid-April. Points only applications will be available in the summer with antlerless applications- usually around June. **These are new dates proposed by the state of UT to take effect in 2023!!**

Classification details:

Large mature bucks are found in these units. Archery buck tags in the Book Cliffs takes up to 20 points for non-residents to draw and can take up to 16 points to draw for residents. Resident Archery tags for Diamond Mountain takes up to 14 points to draw. Non-resident Diamond Mountain archery tag takes up to 20 points to draw. Resident rifle Book Cliff licenses can be drawn with 16-20 points. Non-resident rifle can be drawn with 15-19 points. Resident Rifle Diamond Mountain may take up to 15 points while non-resident will require upwards of 20 points. Resident Muzzleloader for Book Cliffs: up to 16 points. Non-resident up to 21 points.

Muzzleloader Season: Sept 28-Oct 06.

      • Member Price: $7,500.00
      • Non-Member Price: $8,400.00

      Hunting license not included in the hunt price. An annual hunting license (appx. $72) is required when applying or purchasing a point only. A nonrefundable application fee of about $15 is also required, though permit fees will not be charged unless you are successfully drawn. The permit fee for limited entry deer is about $650, and limited entry multi-season deer permits are about $768. The point only fee is about $15. Archery Season: Aug 20-Sept. 16. Any Legal Weapon: Oct 22-30. Muzzleloader Season: Sept 28-Oct 06.

      Refund Policy:

      Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

      Hunter will stay in a nice camper for the hunt. This allows for the camp to be mobile if needed. Camper will have heat, running water, and a generator for electricity. *Photos coming soon.

      A camp chef will be hired for the hunt. Hunter will be served 3 good meals a day. Breakfast burritos, sandwiches, hamburgers, hots dogs, and hot food will be served. Homestyle cooking-meat and potatoes.

      Hunter should be prepared for moderate hiking for this hunt. Both units have some very steep country. Earlier season hunts may require more hiking as animals may be found at higher elevations while the weather is still warm. Better physical ability will provide better shot opportunity.


      Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

      Final flight destination city is Vernal, Utah. Outfitter will provide pick up and drop off from the airport if hunter flies into this airport. Hunters may also fly into Salt Lake City, Utah. Diamond Mountain Camp is roughly a 45 minute drive to camp and the Bookcliff Camp is roughly 3 hours from the airport. If flying into Salt Lake City, hunters will need to rent a car to get to camp. All field transportation will be provided.

      Description

      Depending on the season drawn, hunter will need to plan and pack accordingly. This hunt may require heavy hiking, so a good layering system is a must (allowing for shed of layers when moving, but to be warm when glassing). Durable and comfortable hiking boots are needed. All meals and lodging will be provided. Hunter may choose to have their meat if desired, but must have a cooler to bring meat home. Full gear list to be provided if requested when booked.
